Programme on health, sexual, reproductive rights published in Moldova’s Official Journal[:]

The national programme on health and sexual and reproductive rights for 2018-2022 has been published on the 21 September issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).

Reproductive Health Training Center has coordonated the elaboration of the national programme that is aimed at ensuring the right of each person to sexual and reproductive health services, focused on the needs and rights of beneficiaries.

The programme is meant to ensure the access of residents, including disabled people, to the range of sexual and reproductive health services. At the same time, implemented actions ,  will improve the quality of the services in the institutions of all levels of medical assistance.

Also, decision-makers will take measures to educate and inform residents about the sexual and reproductive rights through education programmes for health, adapted depending on the age and needs specific to the vulnerable groups and of the persons with disabilities. At the same time, the programme’s goal is to strengthen the role of the medical and sanitary institutions and to enhance the role of mass media in informing and educating the residents.

Also, competent persons are to improve the mechanism of coordinating and monitoring in the field of sexual and reproductive health rights.
